Addiction causes mental, physical and spiritual pain and suffering.  Addiction is a constant battle between the conscious and subconscious that affects every cell of your body negatively.

The prolonged use of alcohol and mood-altering substances causes destruction, not just for the user, but to all who come in contact.  If not addressed, the outcome may lead to emotional and physical problems, even insanity or death.

Drugs mimic neurotransmitters that control our emotions and our state of mind by creating chemical messages that run through our nervous system and allow us to interpret information.  Alcohol and drugs create a euphoria that is short-lived and leads to a severe crash. This begins to form an uncontrollable craving in search of the euphoric feeling, creating a vicious cycle leading to the use of more alcohol and drugs and leading to addiction.

Lack of understanding creates denial, remorse, stress and anxiety, which are barriers to recovery.  Utilizing hypnotherapy Ralph works with clients to remove these blocks and initiate the recovery process.

The word “addiction” is derived from a Latin term for “enslaved by” or “bound to.” Anyone who has struggled to overcome an addiction or has tried to help someone else to do so understands why.

Addiction exerts a long and powerful influence on the brain that manifests in three distinct ways: craving for the object of addiction, progressive loss of control over its use, and continuing involvement with it despite adverse consequences.

Ralph has served as a professor at New Jersey City University, teaching “Development of Substance Awareness Programs,” and has also spoken at Alcoholic Anonymous events.

Although breaking an addiction is tough, it can be done.  Hypnotherapy can help.
